Dinuka joined the U of A in May 2016, coming from Ontario, where he spent the last 9 years working at three post-secondary institutions. He has been a part of the Grievance Committee since the fall of 2016 and is actively involved with NASA by volunteering his time for several working groups to advocate on behalf of the members. A zoologist by training, he spent the early part of his career studying the migration of songbirds between North and Central America. His experience in post-secondary institutions has spanned across International Student Services, Student Housing, Alumni Relations, and Advancement. In his current role at the U of A as the Career Education Coordinator (Graduate Students), Dinuka supports graduate students transition from academia to career through experiential learning programs.
