Welcome to Our Union!

December 6 is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

Every year on December 6, we remember the 14 women who were killed in 1989 at l’École Polytechnique in Montreal. They were killed simply because they were women. In 1991, the Parliament of Canada declared December 6th to be the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. The day now represents a time to reflect and act to prevent violence against women in our homes, workplaces, and communities.

Join NASA and members of the University community as we remember the 14 women killed on December 6 and pledge to take action and confront forms or violence against women where we see it.
