Lisa Dublin

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Chair

Lisa was elected as Chair of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee in May 2019. She has also served as a member of the Grievance Committee since 2018. An MA (English) graduate of the University of Alberta, Lisa’s first job at the University of Alberta was as a Graduate Student Services Advisor in the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research from 2015. In 2019, she moved to the Department of Biochemistry as a Graduate Student Advisor. Lisa sat on multiple boards in her home country of Saint Lucia, including as a representative for the Literary Arts on the country’s National Cultural Development Foundation. She also holds an MBA, and has run both a media and training company, from which she learned a great many lessons – good and bad! She is keenly aware of the importance of having leadership with vision, and with an ear to the ground. She hopes that her unique skill set will enhance the good work that NASA does.

Lisa is a member of the Writers’ Guild of Alberta, a past participant of the Borderlines Writers’ Circle, and a volunteer for P.A.L.S. As well as being busy with her husband and three sons, she has recently taken up running, completing her first half marathon in the 2019 Edmonton Marathon series.
